Kol Halev Performance Society (a non-profit society established October 2015) is presenting Two Views from the Sylvia, an exciting musical and theatre production of two original one-act plays about The Sylvia Hotel. It will be staged from November 7 to 12, 2017 at the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island. Read more about the show here.
We are in partnership with both the City of Vancouver (which has provided us a grant for which we must raise matching funds), the BC Arts Council, and the Province of British Columbia. The Jewish Museum and Archives of BC (JMABC) is offering administrative support as well as a related exhibit in the Waterfront theatre.
Mounting a production of this calibre requires significant financial commitment and we have a long way to go. Thank you in advance for your generous help in making this happen.
We need:
- To raise matching funds.
- New members in our society. Our goal is 100 paid members. You can become a Society Member for only $10.00 per individual or choose a family membership for only $25.00 per year.
- Sponsors (financial and in kind) for production support and for the opening night gala.
- Volunteers – for ticket sales, raffle, ushers and a coordinator of volunteers.
Most importantly, we would be so grateful if you would support our play with a financial contribution. The Jewish Museum and Archives of BC, as our partner, will issue a tax receipt for donations of $30 or greater, and these donors will be acknowledged in the program.
